Our first bus trip! Only 5 hours and we have already discovered a new favorite snack: “platanitos locos,” limon and sal flavored plantain chips. We’re now in Puerto Viejo. It’s a small beach town in eastern Costa Rica on the Carribean Sea. Definitely one of the few places outside of Jamaica where Rasta culture is the real deal. Currently at Tasty Waves Cantina cause our hostel doesn’t have wi-fi. More posts to come! In the meantime enjoy these photos. If you haven’t booked in advance, check out Hotel Pura Vida. It’s nice and cheap and they have WiFi. Also, I would highly recommend renting a bike and riding out to the Jaguar Rescue Center to hang out with the sloths and monkey… Jealous!
